Sanctuary Tennis Tournament for Hope raises $12,000

The Sanctuary Golf Club was the title sponsor to the 13th annual Hope Hospice Tennis Tournament in November, which produced more than $12,000 for Hope Hospice - totaling more than $130,000 over the years.

The event featured special guest, Nick Bollettieri. He and an IMG pro taught clinics for more than five hours offering personalized instruction to participants. Bollettieri also donated his book with a personal message for each. This event is one of the signature charity events at The Sanctuary Golf Club, and they have been the venue and title sponsor for 12 years.

This year's Green Group Champion is Fran Blakely; Finalist is Jean DeWalt; and Semi-Finalists are Diane Griffin and Laurie Long. The Blue Group Champion is Ken Monahan; Finalist is Pam Monahan and the Semi-Finalists are Sheri Coleman and Leonard Thatch. The Red Group Champion is Mark Andrews; Finalist is Alex Blagojevic; and Semi-Finalists are Andrew Heuerman and Brandon Nash.

"Thank you to all the sponsors. In addition, thank you to all those competitors who participated in making the event so successful and a special thank you to our extraordinary guest, Nick Bollettieri. This was a fantastic event," said Christie Bradley, director of Tennis & Fitness at the Sanctuary Golf Club.

"Christie does a fantastic job organizing and arranging the Hope Hospice Tennis Tournament. It has become more popular each year between island friends, neighbors, and members. It was a treat for everyone to meet and participate in a clinic with Nick Bollettieri. The Sanctuary Golf Club Members are proud to sponsor Hope Hospice", said Ken Kouril, General Manager, COO of The Sanctuary Golf Club.
